Michael den Hartog
Michael originally from NW Missouri, graduated with a BS in Aviation from Central Missouri State University, Worked professionally as a Pilot till 2003, Then relocated to Miami to complete a degree in Aviation Management with emphasis on ATC.  Then while applying to the FAA Michael worked for Auburn University as Audio Visual Director.  In 2007 Michael began working for the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller for Kansas City Center (ZKC).  After getting married to HuiJiao (Joy) Sun, he moved back to Alabama and worked for the Birmingham Airport Authority.  Where he and cofounder Philip Benedetto in 2009 founded the Community Network Foundation.  To get more youth involved in aviation. Then in cooperation with Learning for life Michael managed the First Aviation Exploring Post 491.  Which went on to develop several other satellite locations, and Build a Plane projects from as far north as MN and south as FL.

Today Michael is married to Joy den Hartog (HuiJiao Sun) and has a daughter Amelia.  Michael lives and works in South Florida and is currently the Charter Rep for Fort Myers, Fl Post 491 and overseeing the Build-a-Plane project known as Miss. Kitty 2.

Michael holds Ratings in Air Traffic Control, Commercial-Instrument Piloting, and Certified Flight Instructor.
As well as FAA Aviation Safety Consoler, KC LSA EXPO Air Boss, Sun-N-Fun Air Operations, air space Pilot Briefer, and most of all DAD.
